Overview
The Master’s Degree in Biostatistics (GPB) lasts two years and entails the acquisition of 120 European Credit Transfer (ECT). The program comprises of 12 examinations corresponding to the acquisition of 108 ECTs. The remaining ECTs are acquired through other activities such as training activities and the final evaluation. Indicatively, there are 6 examinations during the first year and 5 during the second year.
Further 12 ECTs need to be achieved through additional examinations chosen by the students (6 ECTs during the first year and 6 during the second).
Specific curricular requirements are assessed and the students undergo an interview to evaluate their motivation and background.
The official language of the course is Italian.
Graduated students in Biostatistics can access to 2nd level Masters and PhD programs available at the University of Milan-Bicocca or at other universities according to the procedures established by the own regulations.
With this program the students acquire the SAS® Graduate joint certificate program curriculum in Advanced Data Analysis in Biostatistics.
This program aims to provide qualified expertise in the planning, management, analysis, statistical interpretation and evaluation of experimental and observational studies, monitoring and surveillance systems in the fields of human and animal health and in other complementary areas such as biology, biotechnology, population studies, veterinary medicine, preventive, clinical and rehabilitative medicine and environmental sciences.
