Overview
This master’s degree is an important opportunity to explore the relationship between the mind and the brain, studying how the latter determines our ability to think, feel and act.
Throughout the course, the latest discoveries and methodologies of cognitive and affective neuroscience will be presented, along with their application in the prevention, assessment, diagnosis, and rehabilitation of cognitive disorders. In particular, you will acquire skills to work in a clinical setting with patients affected by congenital and acquired cognitive difficulties, such as specific learning disorders, the effects of neurological pathologies like strokes, and neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s.
The course also offers the possibility to undertake professionalising activities at selected affiliated facilities and high-quality practical laboratories, leading to direct employment as psychologists in multidisciplinary teams in public and private health organizations, care and assistance institutions, and other relevant entities.
Furthermore, the Master’s degree title and specific training acquired will enable you to carry out research activities within universities and other scientific health institutions, as well as acquiring valuable requirements for access to higher-level training, such as the specialization school in Neuropsychology and doctoral programs in the fields of Psychology and Neuroscience.
