Overview
The Master’s Degree in Biology belongs to the Class of Master Degrees in Biology has a duration of two years and involves the acquisition of 120 university credits (CFUs) for the achievement of the title.
The course of study is open access. The access includes the verification of the possession of the curricular requirements and a test to assess the student’s knowledge.
Some course lessons may be held in English.
The University of Milan-Bicocca and the Université Paris Diderot VII have started a joint study program aimed at achieving the double degree for a limited number of selected students: Master’s Degree in Biology and Master de Genetique At the end of the studies, the Master degree in Biology is awarded.
The title allows access to Second Level Masters, PhDs, Specialization Schools. Graduates in Biology have the possibility to enroll in section A of the National Order of Biologists, after passing the State Exam. The Master Program aims to provide a sound cultural and methodological preparation in the Biological disciplines and a broad knowledge of their applications. The professional profiles envisaged fall within the ISTAT 2.3.1 Classes – Specialists in Life Sciences and 2.6.2- Graduate Researchers and Technicians.
The graduates may find employment in research fields as well as technical manager in industries (pharmacology, biotechnology and food chains) and in services for health and environmental control.
