Panoramica
The Master’s Degree in “Management and Services Design” (Level of qualification: 2nd cycle / 7 EQF level) is a two-year study program (120 ECTS) jointly offered by the Departments of Business and Law, Economics, Quantitative Methods and Strategy; Law; Sociology and Social Research; and Statistics and Quantitative Methods. The program offers multidisciplinary and advanced training in the management of private service companies as well as manufacturing companies affected by increasing servitization, and of public and non-profit organizations. This is accomplished through courses in management of strategic decisions, information management and service evaluation, strategies for value creation, law, social capital and local socio-economic systems, and organisational change and development.
After completion of the compulsory courses, students choose among a selection of elective courses to customise their path of studies. The Service Analysis and Design Lab, seminar activities, project works and business games, presentations by practitioners and internships are essential features of the program. The aim of the program is to train students for careers as professionals in private, public and non-profit organizations involved in the design, management and evaluation of service activities, both at the microlevel (individual organizations) and at the meso/macro-level (local governments, business associations, research centres and foundations, etc.).
Prospective students are expected to possess a sound basic knowledge in the main subject areas of the program (management, economics, law, quantitative methods, and sociology) and to be motivated to undertake an intensely action learning-based path.
